Jewels of the Shangpa Kagyu Lineage
The originators and masters of the Shangpa Kagyu lineage
In this seven-session series, with meditation, teaching, amazing images and songs of realization, Lama Döndrup leads an exploration of the meaning of lineage and the originators and masters of the Shangpa Kagyu lineage. Each session is approximately an hour long.
A lineage is the line of practitioners through whom a collections of teachings is passed in an unbroken, successive way thereby ensuring that the teachings and practices remain, accurate, vital, and alive through the passage of time.
The Shangpa Kagyu Lineage is unique in that it originated with two awakened Kashmiri women, Sukhasiddhi and Niguma. The profound teachings of these wisdom dakinis (highly accomplished female practitioners) are pithy, elegant, and penetrate straight to the heart of the matter, making them an accessible, relevant, and efficacious method as we engage in the world today.
Through meditation, teachings, and discussion, we explore the masters who have carried this unbroken stream of teachings from the 11th century to us today.
Each session includes downloadable video and audio recordings and related handouts of prayers and songs of realization.
