Green Tara Daylong 2023
Tara is the embodiment of the divine feminine.
Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha - The sound of Tara’s mantra has been resonating in our world since the early centuries of the Common Era. It is the primordial wisdom of the divine feminine arising as sound and vibration whispering in the wind as it beckons us to awaken to our innate wisdom, the divine feminine which is an essential aspect of every one of us regardless of our gender identity.
Tara is awakened awareness manifest in a female form whose activity is to protect from fear, anxiety, and danger. She is a beloved figure whose countless devotees have invoked her compassionate presence since late 6th century India. She represents the lineage of feminine wisdom, which is the essential counterpart to the masculine aspect of skillful means or compassion. Of the two wings of wisdom and compassion that carry us to awakening, Tara and the divine feminine are the wing of wisdom. She embodies this innate wisdom and unconditional, boundless love as she continuously nurtures and protects all sentient beings.
While Tara’s wisdom is inconceivably profound, she is immediately accessible to us at any moment. We experience her in the warm embrace of a gentle wind, in the beauty of nature and the earth. She is our breath, our life force. She is the air we breathe. She is the movement of our progress, change, and growth. She is ever-present.
